weekly summary: This is a story of a boy named Oliver who was borned in a world of poverty and misfortunes. From chapter 1-7, readers can notice how Oliver was struggling for survival.
weekly thought: From reading this book i can recall a time when i went to Vietnam during the summer. Over there, i made a new friend who was somewhat similar to Oliver. Like Oliver, he had faced many problems as he grew up. He was very poor and he also had no parents. In order to survive, he had to go in the city to sell lottery tickets to people and the job did not pay very well( Out of 10 people he asked to buy, only 1 bought a ticket). He mostly gave all of his shares to this manager though. He was a nice guy, and he told me he wanted to go to school but in Vietnam you have to pay to get an education, and he didn't have alot of money. I felt so sorry for him i lend him some money just to help him out.
