weekly summary:The Baudelaire orphans meet another family relative.
weekly thought: This book deals with a lot of bad luck which the Baudelaire orphans had experienced a lot. To me bad luck is real. I believe in bad luck. Stuff like Friday the 13th scare me. Im very superstitious. The reason i am like this was because of one day when i was in elementary school. At first i didn't believe in bad luck. One day, it was Friday the 13th. unfortunately, i didn't know what it was. Then all the sudden i begin to get a lot of bad luck like tripping over rocks and losing my belongings. I was so sad. What i learn was that bad luck do exist and people need to be careful. If people are not cautious, then bad luck will cause a big problem. I know because i experienced them before and i still do now.

weekly summary: we are introduce to another character named Sikes.
weekly thought: In this blog i will talk about Sike who is trying to hide his identity. Sike had a bunch of crimes he had commited so he liked people not to find out what he did. I can relate this to The Crucible because Sike is like Proctor who also did something bad. Like Sike, Proctor want to hide the awful thing he did which was adultery. In addition, both Sike and Proctor are afraid of guilt. Therefore they can not admit to themselves what they did was bad. I can also relate this to my friend's life. For example, when my friend broke his mother's vase. Because he was afraid his mom might yell at him, he denied breaking it so he blame it on his younger brother.

Weekly Summary: Fagin the leader of the pickpocket group actions caused trouble in these chapters.
Weekly Thought: Like Blog 8, i won't be talking about Oliver. This blog will focus on Fagin, the pickpocket boss. Fagin is cruel man who used trickery to get what he wanted. Some people can relate to Fagin for example a criminal. If i can recall, there was one time when my parents told me there was this guy in Vietnam who uses kids to steal for him. Like Fagin, he blackmailed them to do his bidding and in my opinnion this was wrong. He would use the kids to go out in the city to steal and he gets rich because of this. i just don't understand how can a person do such a thing. I never knew anyone who stoop that low. Its just stupid how he tricked these kids and used them as pawns. If the police catch him, he should serve his time behind bars for the rest of his life. He definitely deserves it. The Children/kids that worked for him must experience love and kindness. They should play and do other kid stuff rather than stealing. However, because of him, they lived in a world of hate and sorrow. I'm hoping the police will catch him soon so they end his reign of terror.

Weekly Summary: Oliver's life seemed to get a little better but his past still haunted him.
Weekly Thought: For this blog, I won't be talking about Oliver but instead I will talk about Rose, a penniless girl, and Harry, a wealthy guy. What made me decide to talk about them was because in one event Harry ask Rose to marry him, but Sadly, Rose refused. This was an interesting event because it dealt with how love connected with social status in the novel. During the Victorian Age, marriage was mostly for economic reasons. In addition, people married others in their same social class. Therefore Rose couldn't marry Harry. She's afraid she couldn't give him an economically profitable and socially acceptable marriage. However, i think this is stupid. I know she loved him but because of her social status, she don't want to. It doesn't matter who you are and where you're from. If you truly love someone, then nothing matters. In my opinnion, love is a powerful force in the world, and also it's what makes us human. If a couple really love eachother then nothing can stop them from loving eachother. Without love, the world is nothing. If a person love someone really much, nothing can break that bond and i mean NOTHING can break it.
